questions
Everything we get asked.
What setup actually takes, what we are allowed to change, what we will never touch, and what it costs. If something isn’t here, we don’t do it.
Getting started
- What do I actually have to do to set it up?
- Connect Shopify, Meta and Google. Your orders, ad spend and products sync on their own. The one job that is yours is getting your product costs in — you can bulk-import them from a spreadsheet, or we read the cost field you already keep in Shopify.
- What about products where I haven't entered a cost?
- You still get a profit number on day one, worked out from a default margin you set — and every figure built on it is marked as an estimate until a real cost replaces it. What we will never do is treat a missing cost as zero and show you a flattering margin.
- Do I have to give you access to change things on day one?
- No. Read-only is the default on every plan, whatever you pay. Permission to change anything is a separate decision you make later, if ever.
What it can touch
- Will it spend my money without asking?
- No. A rule does nothing until you switch it on, it shows you the move before it makes it, and anything it does can be undone.
- What exactly is it allowed to change?
- Four things: pause or switch on a campaign, ad group, ad set, ad or keyword; change a bid, a target or a budget inside limits you set; and add a negative keyword. Nothing else — and every change is logged against the rule that made it.
- What will it never touch?
- Your customers' personal details. Your product prices, your Shopify settings, or anything else in your store. And it never creates, deletes or rebuilds campaigns you didn't ask it to touch.
- How do I turn it off?
- From your side, in one click — Shopify app settings, Google Ads account access, Meta Business settings. No email to us and no waiting period. Changes stop within minutes.
Money
- Why is the price based on my revenue and not my ad spend?
- Pricing on ad spend would charge you more for the thing this product exists to reduce. Revenue is also a number you already know without opening another dashboard.
- What happens if I grow into the next band?
- Nothing automatic and nothing backdated. We tell you, and you move when you choose to. We don't reprice you mid-month or bill you for a band you didn't agree to.
- Can I cancel?
- In one click, inside the app. No card to start, no notice period, and we prorate to the day rather than keeping the rest of the month.
- What happens to my campaigns if I cancel?
- They stay exactly as they are. We never undo or rebuild your work on the way out — the last state we applied is the state you keep.
- Is it cheaper to pay yearly?
- Yes — two months off, on every plan.
Your data
- Who can see my numbers?
- Your numbers are yours and the people you invite. We never sell them, never hand them to anyone else for their own purposes, and never show them to another merchant. We do use anonymised, combined information across many accounts — to publish overall statistics, and to measure how well our own rule templates perform so we can improve them. Nothing in that can be traced back to you or your store.
- Can I get my data out?
- Yes. Everything exports as a spreadsheet, including the numbers each rule read at the moment it acted — so you can check it line by line against Google's and Meta's own change history.
- Are you SOC 2 certified?
- Not yet. When we are, we'll publish the certificate, its type and its date — and we won't imply we have more than we do. Until then, this page is the disclosure.
- How is this different from Triple Whale or TrueProfit?
- They report profit. We are allowed to act on it — the same number that says a product is losing money is the number that switches its ads off. That is the whole difference: a dashboard tells you, this changes what you spend.
